3rd Technical Restoration and Conservation Seminar

The National Science and Technology Museum of Catalonia (MNACTEC) and its Regional Network are organising the 3rd Technical Seminar "Restoration and Conservation of Industrial, Scientific and Technical Heritage", to be held as a virtual event on Wednesday, 1 December.

This third session continues on from the previous two editions, consolidating its role as a meeting point for museum specialists and professionals working in the conservation and restoration of industrial, scientific and technical heritage.

The seminar structure will draw on the experiences of the speakers, serving to appraise and understand in greater depth the issues facing the sector, from the handling of objects that contain hazardous materials and how they are managed as heritage exhibits, to the systematisation of conservation and restoration work, alongside other aspects.

The highly positive response to the previous seminars confirmed the need to continue the initiative and so raise the profile of scientific, technical and industrial heritage restoration within the world of exhibit conservation. As a result of the exceptional situation caused by Covid-19, this third edition will be conducted in virtual format to guarantee the safety of all participants.
